She'd be your potty protector She'd always check the ground under the plum tree for plums She'd bite Jeremy but not Shana She'd wait for you to go inside the house before she would She'd be in bed by 8:00 p.m. She'd snuggle beside us at sunrise She was a great hugger and kisser She'd get down when the alarm went off so she wouldn't get caught She'd put her paws on the keyboard when you were typing She'd stick her nose under my arm while I was driving She'd stick her butt up in the air and put her head on your lap She'd let you know if there was food on the counter If there was poop on the ground she'd rub her cheek in it She hated being wet...but loved the snow She loved to sing with the harmonica She'd growl to tell you how displeased she was She'd run beside the jeep when we went 4-wheeling She never barked or howled She'd sleep with her head under the bed She'd play fetch a couple of times and then thought that you should start getting the ball She'd let you put your things down before licking and jumping on you When she got a thorn she'd look to you to pull it out The only things to be afraid of in life were vacuums and clothes hampers She loved car rides, bike rides and walks She'd walk on top of the wall at the park She'd lay under you while you ate, waiting for scraps to fall She was impossible to potty train She'd wait by the bathroom door while you were taking a shower She loved playing peek-a-boo She'd sleep on the couch if the cushions weren't up She'd get into the bedroom trash at least 3 times a day She'd lay her ears back in remorse when scolded She loved treats at bedtime Shana would throw two treats in the yard before heading off to work She was a low squatter when peeing Sometimes she squatted ten different times before peeing She attacked a police dog She had to know what was going on She'd leave her hair everywhere She destroyed eight pairs of shoes She liked to smell burps She would put up with anything I'd do to her She could pull me up a hill while on my bike She thought old ladies with umbrellas and hot air balloons were strange She would sleep on a camping chair whenever she could She loved having her head out the window on a Sunday drive She knew what get in the car meant and what get in the Jeep meant She'd catch snowballs in her mouth She liked the leaf blower to be pointed on her She'd stand between my legs when I would dry off her back legs She felt degraded when she did the treat on the nose trick She liked to crawl under the bed and sleep whenever she would fit She'd lick the water from your hands in the shower She'd clean our plates She loved pancakes and peanut butter If you left food on the counter too long she'd eat it She'd roll her ball under the couch so we would have to get it She'd expect you to walk over her cause she wasn't getting up She loved to tear the bark off tree limbs When she enjoyed chewing her eyes would close She'd lean all her weight on Shana in bed After a shower she would run like the wind Before a shower she was a giant mass of stubborn fur She growled at kids She loved adult On weekdays she was fine staying at home On the weekends she thought she needed to go wherever we were going She knew when we were getting ready for a walk She'd roll over on her back in the mornings and make us late for work while petting her belly She'd say please for a treat Here's to you CJ, you were loved and always will be.
