NESTLE
Dec.1993-Mar.2007
He had no titles, he came with a couple of ribbons, but most of all, he came to me
with a huge heart. I had gone, one day, to Jena Zafirotos' house to look at her
current litter of puppies, with the intention of picking one out. While I was there, she
let in this big, liver, five year old dalmatian dog, she had taken back from his
previous owner. The lady was annoyed that all he wanted to do was "follow" her around
the house, so she gave him back to Jena. He immediately came over to me and
nuzzled into my lap. He looked at me with his big, sad eyes and it was love at first
sight for both of us. I asked Jena if I could take him instead of picking a puppy.
Well....he came home with me that day to stay.
He was my "Gentle Giant" who just wanted to be loved and I did with all my heart.
There is a big hole in it now big guy. I so miss tripping over you, Nestle.
I miss my brown buddy
Finally, eating time!
Right,  Nestle, Ely &
Bailey, waiting for Dru to
say, "Okay", so they can
eat. Ely wasn't very good
at it yet!
RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of Heaven is a
place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that
has been especially close to
someone here, that pet goes
to Rainbow Bridge. There are
meadows and hills for all of
our special friends, so they
can run and play together.
There is plenty of food and
water and sunshine, and our
friends are warm and
comfortable. All the animals
who had been ill and old are
restored to health and vigor.
Those who were hurting or
maimed are made whole and
strong again. Just as we
remembered them in our
dreams of days and times
gone by.

The animals are happy and
content, except for one small
thing....they miss someone
very special to them who had
to be left behind.

They all run and play
together, but the day comes
when one suddenly stops and
looks into the distance. The
bright eyes are  intent, the
eager body quivers. Suddenly
he begins to break away from
the group, flying over the
green grass. His legs carry
him faster and faster. YOU
have been spotted and when
you and your special friend
finally meet, you cling
together in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again. The
happy kisses rain upon your
face, your hands again caress
the beloved head, and you
look once more into the
trusting eyes of your beloved
pet, so long gone from your
life, but never absent from
your heart.

Then...you cross the Rainbow
Bridge together....

Nestle and me.
This was taken last March, on the
day I had to let him go. We spent
the whole day nuzzled up together
and took one last walk outside,
