| Welcome to Summit Dalmatians, located in beautiful, Colorado Springs, Colorado, near the foot of Pikes Peak. We own four, beautiful, happy and intelligent dalmatians. Three are finished AKC Champions. Taylor, is our newest "homebred" girl, born in August of 2010. They are involved in all aspects of our life and are "couch potato" pros! The Summit dalmatian pedigrees, contain some GREATS of the breed, from the following dalmatian kennels, Paisley, Melody, Cimarron, Satin, Polaris, Hopi Kachina, Penwiper, Tuckaway. Dalmino, Monarch, Snow Hill, and Troika. | Dalmatian Club of America, National Specialty brags! WOODROW is the Dalmatian Club of America's, 2011 BEST SENIOR IN SWEEPSTAKES, from the 14-16 month class, under Judge Elaine Thomas. He also placed 3rd in Futurity, Judge Sheila Wymore, and 3rd in the regular Open Liver class, Judge Eva Berg. Woodrow was 1, of only 5 boys, that placed under all 3 judges. This comical, goofy boy, is such a joy to show! He's also had 3 BOB wins, 2 over Specials, in his short show career! (major pointed) Not to be outdone by her 1/2 brother Woodrow, little Miss AVA, showed like a dream to win the honor of becoming the 2011 Dalmatian Club of America's RESERVE WINNER'S BITCH, from the 6-9 month class, under judge Frank Sabella. What a thrill to watch this gorgeous girl, do her thing, with owner Deby Harber, on the other end of the leash! Ava was also 1st in her 8-10 month Sweepstakes class at Nationals, under Judge Elaine Thomas. (BOTH MAJORS) Our girl TAYLOR, also strutted her stuff at the 2011 Dalmatian Nationals. She placed 1st in 6-9 month Futurity- Judge, Sheila Wymore. 2nd, (behind sister Ava) in 8-10 month Sweeps- judge Elaine Thomas. 3rd, in a huge bred-by class-under judge Frank Sabella. Taylor was 1 of only 4 girls, that placed under all 3 judges. I couldn't have been prouder of how our sweet girl performed! (major pointed) WILSON also left his mark on DCA 2011. This outstanding sweet boy, was 3rd in his 15-24 month Futurity class-judge Sheila Wymore. And 4th in his 14-16 month Sweepstakes class-judge Elaine Thomas. This boy loves to show for his owner Becky Shallanberger! Also, at the 2011 DCA National Specialty, was LILY, sister to Taylor and Ava. Lily placed 2nd (behind Taylor) in the 6-9 month Futurity class, judge Sheila Wymore, and she placed 4th, in a very tuff Open Black class, judge-Frank Sabella. Lily is a beautiful, sweet, exceptional example of what a dalmatian should be. (major pointed) Look for Taylor, Ava and Woodrow, in the June 2011 issue of E Dalmatians ELY, Ch Cimarron Overland Express,took home a placement of 3rd, in STUD DOG CLASS, at The Dalmatian Club of America, National Specialty, in April of 2010. OTHER NEWS! Our Southern Belle, CALLIE, (littermate to Taylor, Ava and Lily) was shown for the first time, by Janie Norris, at the North Texas Kennel Club, in March of 2011. The first day of showing was a learning experience for Callie and Janie, as Callie had no showing experience or lessons, and she didn't know Janie, but by Saturday, under judge Judith Daniels, she wowed the judge with her beauty and movement and won her first 4 point major! At the Houston Specialty, July 2011, Callie won BOS in Sweeps, and Winners Bitch, for her 2nd major! Just when you think you couldn't be prouder, along comes Dazie, a littermate sister, to the above girls, who wins, Back to Back, 5 point MAJORS, up in Helena, MT. WAY TO GO DAZIE! These handsome and beautiful pups of SUMMIT, are just getting started in their show careers. It's going to be fun watching them blossom! Check all of them out on their web pages |
